The goal of the Greater Boston Senior Home Repair Collaborative is to make minor safety-related repairs for Boston-area seniors aged 62+ to ensure that they can remain safely and independently in their homes for as long as possible. The repair services that we offer include (but are not limited to):
-Repairing/replacing broken toilets and faucets
-Unclogging drains
-Installing grab bars and handrails
-Repairing exterior and interior stairs
-Installing doorbells for hard-of-hearing clients
-Repairing/replacing exterior door locks
-Repairing broken windows
-Making safety-related floor repairs
-Repairing/cleaning gutters that are causing leaks
The Collaborative may also offers assistance to those needing major rehabilitation work (such as accessibility ramps) by helping them to look and/or apply for additional renovation assistance.
